Wow, back from The Beach! The Fall Conference at Virginia Beach was a great educational session for our organization. The Education Committee, VMGMA board and Administrator Jody O’Neil hosted another successful event for both attendees and vendors. I appreciate everyone’s hard work! Being a board member is a rewarding responsibility. At our Sept. 15 business meeting, VMGMA active members elected two new board members... [Continued] Denial-of-payment issue is a VMGMA priority Buried within your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements that you receive throughout the month are claims that are denied for payment with the dreaded description, “Denied — Waiting for information from patient.” Under the leadership of Bert Wilson, the Virginia Medical Group Management Association and the Medical Society of Virginia are trying to do something about this policy. [Continued] A call for newsletter articles In upcoming issues, we’d like to invite you, members and affiliates, to participate in the content by submitting feature articles for consideration. Unpublished articles may be used in subsequent issues, depending on content.
